    AutoDisconnect Share?

    Locked

    by jstarkey ·

I have a NT server that pushes out anti virus updates to windows 9x clients, that have remote administration setup on the windows 9x machines. After it pushes the software to the client and then later when trying to shutdown the client you receive asharing message “There are 1 user(s) connected to your computer.” My user will be confused if they see the message. Is there a way that the client can automatically disconnect from the NT server or the server automatically disconnetct from the client, so the users does not see this message?

    Thanks,
    Jerry Starkey

create a batch file that runs on the client pc after the virus software has been updated with the following command inside:
net use “name of shared drive” /delete /yes
