Automated email reply & power settings

By winmorgan ·
I have to set up an automated response from Eudora to let incoming emails know that someone will be away for two weeks. I've found out how to do that in Eudora, and I know that the Windows machine has to be left on, with Eudora running and checking mail every hour or so.

What I DON'T know is whether there are any power settings I have to check on this machine (running Windows 9 to make sure the machine doesn't turn itself off or some such. I know how to do this on a Mac, don't know what to check on a PC.

Any help greatly apprectiated (I need the answer by Monday.) Thanks,

Win

Happy to rate this as acceptable if you'll give me one more piece of info I forgot to ask: Do I need to set a screensaver to run? The computer in question is a desktop with a CRT monitor.

Thanks very much for your reply and your help,

Win

WEllll....I wrote TEchREpublic to ask them how I could accept the first answer since the "Rate this Answer" option is gone since I first rated it as unacceptable because I needed further help due to forgetting to ask a question.

Got no reply from Tech Rep., and can see no alternative but to rate this second, also helpful, answer acceptable and not give ptreadway credit because I can't figure out how to do so.
