Automated win2000 Pro shutdown

By wtdrisco ·
I know that this question has been asked a million times, but I have not seen any real concisive answer. Does anyone know of a Active Directoy administrative template (ADM) file that allows for scheduling automatic workstation shutdowns?
What I am looking for is at a specific time, if a computer is still logged in or at the log in window, to shut down. I would like to have something that can be deployed centrally or run from a server if anyone has seen such a program.

Thanks for your help

You could either use a gpo or a tool like sysinternals psshutdown tool with an input file. For gpo go to:

Computer
Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security
Options\Automatically logoff

The psshutdown tool can be found here:

http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/psshutdown.shtml

Cheers.
