automatic defragmentation

i have a windows 2000 server i made a task of disk defragmentation from task manager that everyday on 3:50pm task run.task sucessefully run but its remain on window choose drive for defrag
sir i want that this task perform automatic defrag to all drive.
i am waiting your anserw

I don't think there is no known was to schedule and run the standard disk defrag. You would need a 3rd part tool such as DisKeeper (buy) or AutoDeFrag (free) - Diskeeper - AutoDeFrag

Create a batch file with these DOS commands:
defrag C: -f
Save the batch file as defrag.bat. Use Task Scheduler to execute this batch file at your designated time of the day.
Just as an FYI: Ensure all of your users are off the server when you perform server maintenance.

Sorry, for Windows 2000 and not XP, use autodefrag c: in your batch file.

is there a way to log with defrags are ran? also is there a way to know if the bat file actually worked?
