Automatic Outlook profiles

By kim ·
I need to be able to have Outlook profiles to be saved on the Exchange 2003 server so you don't have to go through the Outlook Profile Wizard every time a user gets a new PC. Is there any way of setting up some kind of Automatic Outlook profile without using Roaming Profiles?

You won't be able to save the profiles on the Excahnge server without it being the holder for the roaming profiles.

The profile is stored in the user's Documents and Settings folder.

You could set them up with a roaming profile saved to a data server (settings are in Active Directory Users and Computers), just means you have to setup each new user once with outlook then it doesn't matter what pc they login at.

Don't use roaming profiles!

Don't use roaming profiles! Not worth it in my opinion. We're using Outlook Profiler to create profiles on login and also to manage them after the fact. One things you should start now is using variables for everything. Things like %username% for pst files, directories, and profile names. It will make your life a lot easier. When you go down the road to automation you need to think like that in every area.
