Automatic Performance Monitoring

By seaston ·
I wish to produce daily/weekly charts for server utilisation with little operational intervention.
Performance monitor does not provide a printing function, so the charts have to be exported to Excel and charting set-up for each new spreadsheet.
Iam looking for a way to automate the process, perhaps using a tool to open and read the raw .log file (producted from performance monitor). If such an editor tool exists then an Excel pivot table could be created to supply the data for the graphs.
Any ideas ?

Automatic Performance Monitoring

by rbrittigan In reply to Automatic Performance Mon ...

Don't know if it'll help, but as long as the server stays up, I run automatic 'rules-wizard' macros within Excel to push the reports to HTML, and copy to our Intranet document server... I do it manually every morning, but there is no reason you could time it via scheduler / commmand line...

Hope it helps...
