Automatic SSL Passphrase on Linux.

by simon.dixon@tolcarne-anls . Updated 20 years, 8 months ago

Hi, Can anyone help?

We are trying to get our Apache Web server to automatically enter the encrypted passphrase for an SSL private key for an SSL site instead of the default way of entering the passphrase manually. This is a support issue because if the server is re-started, the console will wait for the admin to type it in manually which leaves the site un-accessable.

Does anyone know of any configuration changes we can make to allow the system to read a file for the passphrase?

Thanks in advance

Simon
