Automatic Start-up

Want to find out how to configure system to start-up automatically after power failure?

1 big problem, is that the PC will not have shut down properly, and you cannot predict how it will startup after the power is restored.

Anyhow, the way to configure this is to enter BIOS setup, and go to power options.
Look over the options.
There should ber an option to set the power mode after power is restored.
Your options are usually Off, On, Last state.
Set this option to On and you should be set.

Depending on how often, and how long your power outages are, I think you would be better off installing a UPS. If you plug just the computer into the UPS, it should be easy to get 1/2 hour or more of up time.

Since many UPS systems have a cable to connect to the PC and software to turn the PC off if the power outage lasts too long. You might want to use this feature, and setup your PC for wake on LAN (BIOS settings) This way, your PC will shut down properly should power be out for a period of time, and once power is restored, your LAN connection will wake up the PC.
