Automatically Lock Windows 2000

By Perm ·
Is there a way in Win 2000 to have it lock itself? I don't want the workstation to logoff just lock. The ideal solution would lock the workstation after a period of 15 minutes or so of inactivity. Any ideas?

Thank you

Just set up the screen saver...

Just set it so the screen saver requires a password to stop. When the computer goes inactive the screensaver kicks in in about 15 minutes (that is your choice) and requires a password to get back in. Pretty down and dirty way but it works.

Control Key

Here is a device that can be used to lock ANY PC as soon as you walk away from it.

No timers, no extra passwords.

Just a simple device that senses the presence of a matching key in your pocket.

Remove any spaces from the pasted link.

There are a number of these devices from different manufactures.
