Automatically update histogram in Excel

Here is my dylema:

I have a spreadsheet where I collect data using ODBC. I then create some trends using charting and finally I use the histogram utility to create some histograms. My problem is that when I refresh the data in Excel the trends get updated but the histograms don’t. I am looking for a way to either refresh the histograms automatically or by running a macro to refresh them.
