i am deploying a sever-client network in a small office building of 20 users. with my small budget, i cant afford a server machine. can i use a simple pc to work as a server machine?
if yes, how?

d server will run services like printing, application, and administrating policies to users.

Short answer - Yes

I would recomend two though. One to handle the file server, printing apps etc. The other to handle the AD and DHCP.

You can install Server 2003 on most any machine as long as it meets the minimum requirements. You will need to buy licenses for Server 2003 though; XP is limited in what it can do for file and application sharing.
