Autostarting programs

I need to have a program start-up with out logging in after a restart. I assume that there is an entry that I can add to the registry, but I am unsure where to add it. I have the program entered under the local machine; software; microsoft; windows; current version; run. This starts the program just like it was in the start; programs; startup(after logging in), but I need it to run before you log in.
