Just an FYI, so that nobody spends a couple of hours on this as I have.
After an Avast update earlier today, my system suddenly detected an XBox 360 and wanted to install it. However, there was none (so I went looking around for the problem).
Soon Afterwards I tried going to http://yahoo.com, and it was blocked. Avast was prompt to tell me that I was trying to download a virus, and it blocked it. It only (for me so far) blocks http://yahoo.com, however http://yahoo.com/%anything else% gets you to Yahoo… LOL
Avast is working on the issue and recognizes it as a false positive.
