B InfoTech or B CompSci?

Hi, I’m an Australian student starting university next year, but I’m having trouble deciding which course to do. I’ve narrowed my choice down to a Bachelor of IT through Charles Sturt Uni, or a Bachelor of Computer Science through NewCastle Uni. What I would like to know is: is there any clear advantage of one course over another? I don;t know what area of computing I want to go into: I’ve considered programming, general consultancy, research and design, etc but don’t know which would suit mebest. Which of the above degrees would give me the best employment opportunities?

I’ve even considered doing a combined BCompSci/BMaths through Newcastle but I’m releuctant to do that unless there is a VERY clear advantage: too much extra (and hard) work and time if there isn;t a major advantage.

Also, what other career paths are out there? I know there are hundreds of them but don;t know what they’re like and what they involve.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
M.R.Chambers
