Back up software

Enterprise edition - I am looking to purchase a backup software.

Veritas, ArcServe, Legatos and etc. Does anyone recommened any of the above software or any other software that are out there for backing data up.

Veritas and CA have almost the same product. If you've used one, you can use the other. They are designed mostly for small/medium businesses. Legato is a little more Unix-centric than the other two, which are mostly NT-based.

Define Enterprise... Do you have a SAN? What amount of data are you planning to back up? Onto what storage device?

For me - Veritas everytime. it's solid, flexible and user friendly. You can buy agents for your specific needs eg exchange, sql server, full DR.

It's great.

If this is for an all Windows environment then I would strongly look at COMMVAULT. Check um out on the web at http://www.commvault.ca/

Billy boy has a big interest (20%)in this company and they are definetly worth looking into.
