i recently had to put my PC into the fixit shop because i had a powercut and it would only load as far as a blue screen, they had my PC for 3 weeks ,and wouldnt return my calls to find out what was taking so long ,when i finnaly got through to them , the chap said “oh yeh your PC” as if id lent him a book and said “what was it you wanted us to do” on the verge of snapping i said “fix it! its stuck on the blue screen” he said “oh right ok you wabt us to remove the blue screen” “YES” i said – well i got the pc back and everything is fine but theres one thing thats chewing away at me (just a little) the fact that my desktop background is stuck on just the color opitons in the display settings ,and the color they left it at was blue,its not so much that i need to have a background image ,but more the fact that those cheeky gits have dissabled it somehow for a chuckle ,so ive been googling how to enable or fix this problem ,but theres nothing about it as of yet ,does anyony know how this can be resolved ??????? P.S ive tried all kinds of ways of installing backgrounds from my pictures from websites ,right clicking – oh and the backgrounds are actually there on the desktop but are hidden by the colored screen – i know this because when i boot up the PC it first shows the desired background and then the desktop loads with the blue screen hiding it ??? my OS is XP thanks – kobi
