Backing up users data

By CMCknz77 ·
I've been hopelessly searching for a piece of software that runs completely silently as a service and can be remotely configured to copy all of my users data (My Documents, Favourites, etc) from their laptops to a network based drive/share when the users laptops are in the office and on the network.

So far, we've been trialling Iomega's QuickSync 3, but it's not remotely configurable, it cant transfer data using a UNC path (it needs a drive to be mapped), it takes ages to apply any filters, and no matter how silent you ask it to be it keeps popping up with really random "I experienced me an error while trying to copy this file to a network resource your computer isn't attached to anyway" error messages whenever it darned well feels like it (which just looks great when it happens right in the middle of a full screen video presentation), and there's no logging.

Robocopy does everything that I'd need the software to be able to do except that keeping it monitoring would leave a CMD window open on their machines... Due to their line of work, this is, as a result, not an option... does anyone have any other ideas?
