Backoffice 4.5 to Backoffice 2000

By ericwi ·
Hi all,
Currently , I only have a Backoffice 4.5 server in my firm. The setup is simple cos only 5 people are using this server for their mails/file storage. Recently , we bought a new server and we intend to install Backoffice 2000. I would like to know hot to migrate all the users to this new server, particularly , the Exchange settings.of the BO 4.5 server.

Please advice.
Thanks

Eric

You can migrate useing ADMT from the OS CD. You should use the Exchange ExMerge utility to copy settings, mailboxes, etc. I would look at Quest, Aelita, or NetIQ as they have some products that can doo all of this for you instead mixing and matching utilities.

I'm confused - there is no such thing as BackOffice 2000. Are you using Small Business Server? If that's the case, here's a good tech article on how to move from SBS 4.5 to SBS 2000:

(remember to remove any spaces in the url)

NOTE: At the bottom of this article is a link to another article that is a continuation of the first.

Hope this helps!
