backup exec 7.3 issue

HI,
I tried to restore a file last week and changed my mind in the middle. The issue I am having is that the job monitor on the backup exec tells me that there is an active job restoring and it keeps running at the same time when i try to do my daily backup it keeps egecting the tapes and rescheduling them for the next day and egects the tapes in 1 munite. How do I abort this restore job and keep backing my files. I used the abort button on the restore to no avail. Its abort option is grayed out.
