BACKUP EXEC 9.0 FOR NETWARE 6.0

By corkybenle ·
OS is Netware 6.0
Backup program is Veritas Backup Exec ver. 9.0 Build 4172

When I issue a backup job I get the error...
"Backup complete with errors....insufficient rights for .... SKIPPED."

I have checked the Admin rights for Supervisor
Ihave check the BE objects for Supervisor rights
I have reinstalled the program three times
I have checked trustee rights for all objects
I have deleted the sys partition and reinstalled NDS

Anybody have any ideas on what's going on and how to fix this?....

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

What is it you have insufficient rights to?

BE8.5 would report this about certain objects in NDS, but I thought that was fixed in BE9.0

According to the Veritas knowledge base, there are issues with backing NSS volumes on Netware 5.x if the volume name is longer than 8 characters.

Bud is right, we need more info.

B.T.W. we have the same problem, with a known cause: some admin in the past created a container in NDS, and put an inherited rights filter on it before creating a container admin, effectively making it a ghost container. We can't remove it, it can't be backed up...
