I’m trying to restore a file from a Backup Exec tape that was originally stored on a NW 4.11 server. The file won’t restore to a NW 5.1, NT box or local drive. I’ve even rebuilt a NW4.11 server but I keep getting a message that the compression schemes are incompatible. According to BKExec techs, I need to install the NW SP that was running when the backup was made. I’ve tried use SPs 8 and 9 without success and am looking for older SPs since Novell doesn’t keep an archive. Does anyone out there happen to have old NW 4.11 service packs. I’m thinking that 6 or 7 should do what I need.
