NetWare5.0/Backup Exec 8.0
I need to create a script in Backup Exec that will do the following:
1. Stop my Sybase services.
2. Backup the data from the application that runs from Sybase.
3. Start the Sybase services.
4. Backup the rest of the selected information on the server.
I’m not quite sure where to start. I can write a batch file that will execute the STOP.NCF then run the job, but how do I make it start the Sybase services again.
Can I use more than one script for the same job? If I create two scripts, how will Backup Exec know which order to execute them in? One script to stop the services and one script to start the services. Then how does the rest of the job execute?
Please, only those who knows exactly what to do. I don’t want to waste time with guesses.
