i have a raid-board and normally only one master-drive. win2k
i have two systems in mind-not yet running the way i would like.
i want to use my ghost-boot-cd to make the backup and not the boot-floppies. how can i do this?it is relating to system b)-see below- which has no separate swapdrive.
a) 160gb, 30gb-swap, 160 gb(temporary backup-drive), burner
i did not yet install this configuration(see an older thread) but here is the configuration i should use:
IDE3(master or single- 160 gb-win2k)
IDE4(permanent swapdrive 30 gb)
IDE1(temporary backup-drive 160 gb)
IDE2(optical drive-burner)
i do not want to go into more details regarding optical drive-options or limits.
here is the configuration which is relating to the question: i mentioned a) because its the same board.
b) 120gb (swap-partition included)
120 gb-backupdrive
burner.
how should i configure the system to have no slave-drives?
if i am right-pls correct-i can ghost the whole first drive to the second without prepairing it. or do i have to activate the drive coming out of the box?
my first trial of configuration a) went wrong because i forgot to activate the swap-drive.
what is gdisk(in the ghost-package) for in relation to normal fdisk and my problem?
