I want to take backup of my files in AIX on a IBM3590 drive with autoloader.
I’m able to take the backup and automatically move over to the next tape for continuation of the backup. The problems are —
1. I’m not able to take a compressed backup.
2. Since the log file generated during the backup does not have any tape change information, How do i restore a file from a specific tape. My backup runs into 9-10 tapes.
