Backup on Windows XP

Unless it is hidden away somewhere there does not appear to be a backup applet in Windows XP. If it is tucked away somewhere, can anyone tell me where it is? If not, can anyone point me towards a simple backup prog that will do the job? As I now have the luxury of a CD burner it would seem sensible to backup full copies of my files rather than condensed ones as there is plenty of room on a CD. Does anyone know of a simple prog that will automate this for me? Finally, what system information ought I to include in my backups?
