Backup registry to repair directory

by joshhansen . Updated 24 years, 9 months ago

I need all my workstations running Windows 2000 to backup their registry on a scheduled basis (for disaster recovery purposes). These files (in system32/config) are in use so you can’t just copy them and I don’t want to rely on the users to do it, I want it done when they successfully log in or at some other scheduled time without their knowing about it or needing their assistance. I know NTBackup can do this and I know that NTBackup has command line options but I haven’t seen any command line options for this specific task in NTBackup.

Any ideas? Thanks.
