BackUp Software

By bshapess ·
My company has a NT 4 server with a tape drive installed on it. I need a backup software that can schedule jobs, and that is good. I need it to cost under $100. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Bryan

Have you considered the built-in NT backup program? It's not bad, and you can schedule backups using the AT command.

Glad I checked back, I did not get notified of your comment.

To use AT, first you have to make sure the Schedule service is running in Control Panel, Services.

Then, create a bat file to run ntbackup. Finally, at the command prompt type the AT command. I don't have access to NT today, but will check tomorrow for the correct syntax. It's something like

AT /day(s) /time "command to run"

You can type AT /? to see the syntax.

How would you schedule a backup using the AT command?
