Backup Software for Linux

by naughtymonkey . Updated 18 years, 3 months ago

We are currently using an older version of Veritas (before Symantec bought them out, and I am fed up with Windows and Veritas quirks. I looked into upgrading to the latest version and we were looking at around $15,000. I would like to try an open source (free as in beer would be nice) that could replace Veritas. I believe Linux will support our tape library and disk array better than Windows.

Can someone with experience in open source backup solutions give me some idea of an application with good cataloging abilities, hardware support, and decent management interface?
