this is not really important just an annoyance. my computer at work (filled with junk by my service engineers) insists on listing everything backwards! when i “open file” in any application the dialog box lists files from z to a and then folders.it is not really a problem but when you use several computers it throws you a bit to come into the office and try to open stuff.

i know there is desending and asending which cause the files to list a to z or z to a. This should be under the view option.

If it is in Office97 apps, when your “open file” window is open, there should be an icon that looks like a file cabinet with a re check mark on it. This is your Command and Settings icon. Go there and you can set how you want your files to appear.
