I have a Epson Stylus Printer 777 that I have installed on a Dell GX110. The printer installed correctly everything is there and it looks ok. I can go in the properties of the printer and a mode sheet with the graff lines. I can not print a test page and I can not print from any program. What can I do to get this printer to work.

      Two questions,
are there any errors messages displaying.
and dose the system appear to be sending the document ie its talking to it but there is no response from the printer, if so have you tried a new cable,

If this printer has been out of service for a week or more, it is possible that the head is clogged. The type of ink used for this printer clogs easily and requires frequent use to prevent this very common problem. If this is the case, the printerwill go through the motions of printing, even ejecting the page, but it will be blank. Unfortunately, un-clogging the head is difficult and Epson charges an arm and a leg to replace the head.
If the printer is not doing anything at all when you try to print, I would run a loopback test on the parallel port on your Dell to make sure that it is operating properly. Also, if you are getting any error messages when you try to print, these might be able to point you in the right direction. Good luck.

Thanks for your help on this question. All suggestions have been tired and all failed. I can put another printer such as a Canon there using all the same cables and it works this one printer will not. Yet, I can put that printer someplace else onthe same type of computer and it works. So that is what I have done. Again Thanks for your help.
