Balloon messages in Windows XP SP2

Microsoft are fighting back against other firewalls, including Norton and Zonealarm in PCs loaded with SP2. I now get a message at startup ‘Your firewall status is unknown’, in fact Zonealarm is installed . I have run GPEDIT.msc in user configuration/administrative templates/ start menu and taskbar remove balloon tips – enabled. Anyone know about this?
