Long story, but I’m beginning a battle with my ISP re our bandwidth connection at home.
They don’t believe what I’m telling them, basically (well, they don’t know me very well, do they…..?!) so they’re very dismissive, and the worm has turned. I’m livid.
I’m looking for suggestions, please, on a bandwidth monitor that I can download to both the main pc in the house, and my laptop. I need to do this, so I can give them some sort of statistical report of any speeds/connections I can, to prove my point (any may be get compensation as well as refunds….. 🙂 )
Yes, I’d love to change ISP’s, but have limited choice unless I want to go for 3rd party provision, which has proved more than problematic for others in my area.
Not having had to monitor bandwidth before, I’m a bit stuck. I know there are zillions of programs out there that do this type of thing, but I’m looking for personal recommendations from previous users (besides that, I tend to trust you lot more than just hitting Google…! :p )
Keep remembering how un-technical I am, guys, and treat me gently, please!
thanks in advance, peeps – any help to sort this out greatly appreciated; I need to help Steffi with her dissertation this Easter… 🙁
