Hello all,
I have, let’s call it, a problem…
At my company I (along other things) maintain a file server based on fedora Linux and Samba. On that server users access their personal documents and other public data (.doc .xls .odt ..etc)
A problem has come up, many users (including the real important ones) have put up their MP3’s on the server and are playing them straight from samba… Which is a big problem because of my weak infrastructure (a 100mbit optical back bone, on 130 clients).
Another thing is that I CANNOT remove the MP3’s because the “big” users are using them… And the little ones, just won’t admit it…
So, what I need (if there is a possibility), a sort of utility through wich I can monitor the bandwidth usage of client computers.
Yep, that’s it… And of course the kind in which I don’t have to hop from one computer to another just to take a peek.
Additional info:
Clients are using Windows XP Pro/Home …
