how do you write a bat fie for a network printer?

and if you can bat. on roaming profiles as well ?

Open notepad and write your network printer script.
Once that done click save as and put in xxx.bat where xxx is your file name.
This will create a bat file.
And sure you can use it in roaming profiles - login script is one example for a BAT file used in roaming profiles.

but how do you write the logon script
i know net use x:\\server\share\name for mapping network drives but for printers and roaming profiles i need help

I learned to do all this stuff in VBScript and have come to realize how much more robust VBScript is.
Check out this as a good source to learn it.

You can find all sorts of example scripts to do all the things you would need. For example look at these links.


Map Drives:

The Microsoft Scripting Guys are a great source for VB script.
