battery will not charge

By farhadmashhadi ·
I have recently bought a battery replacement for my DELL Latitude,D620. the first couple of days eveything went well. today, all of a sudden the machine says that I should use the 65w-AC adapter or above. and since I am not using the required adapter, the battery will not be charged. Can this be because of my AC adapter whose specification is exactly as required (i.e. 65W - Ac Adapter

D620 batteries notoriously poor chargers

by CharlieSpencer In reply to battery will not charge

The batteries for Dell D620 / D630 laptops are notorious for failing to take or hold a charge. Since you've only had it a couple of days, I suggest you contact the vendor and request a replacement.

Good luck with that!

Unless you are on certain service options it is unlikely you will be able to even talk to a live person who a) speaks understandable english, b) can do anything to help you.

I'd suggest returning the unit.

Hey, doc

I'm nosy.

I remember when you were out of work and began your medical training. Looks like you are succeeding with the integration of that training with IT, and loving it.

I ask, because around that time, I spent six months of my off-time (both hands on the wheel, it took) training into EMT-B status.

The experience was a 180-degree departure from anything I had ever done. Was yours?

Or, were you somehow involved in the field beforehand?

The employment picture out there is no better than it was when you were commenting on it back then. If anything, it is worse. And, you appear to have beat it. Have you thought of chronicling your experience here for the rest of us?
