bding ips/mac adresses on a cisco routeR?

by r_o_l_a_n_d . Updated 18 years, 1 month ago

hope someone would help out with this..

i have a cisco 2811 router with 12.2 IOS.

i have DHCP enabled on my LAN interface.
i have 3 different machines that’s connected to my network that i want my router to assign specific ip’s to (that are outside of the private network assigned to the lan interface)
which means on the private lan network which is 192.168.0.0 255.255.255.0 i want the router to give to machines with a SPECIFIC MAC that i would specify, publis ips that i would want to bind to those mac adresses.

any way of doing this?!
i tried the following but it didnt work:

Router(config)#Ip dhcp pool usphones

Router(dhcp-config)#Host X.X.X.X 255.255.255.248

router(dhcp-config)#hardware-address 0012.17fd.eee1
