Sorry if you’re on the receiving end of this one, but my hotmail got spoofed in the early hours of this morning. First time ever. Fortunately, I was having a bad night, and was online anyway and saw it happening.

(Nothing in the sent box btw and I’ve checked signatures and autoresponder just in case)
There is a lot of info out there on this, and I’ve followed all of it. Everything was up to date, last updated 10pm yesterday, then was updating when it started happening. I only use strong passwords anyway, so I’m stumped.
I’ve run every scan I can think of, run spybot, run myself round in circles.
Seems like M$ want to put the blame on the user: from other posters elsewhere, if they do get a reply, it’s a “how to secure your computer” bland reply.
Only use FF, strong passwords, update every time I’m online, don’t use bluetooth at home, WiFi is secure –
I admit this has taken most of the day to check out with scans etc., and I’m now brain dead.
Have I missed anything, peeps?
And again, apologies to anyone who got the spam email. I really have NO idea what happened, as you can probably tell.
