I’m using Borland and following the book “The C Programming Language” by Brian Kernighan and Dennis M. Ritchie. Basically I’ve copied a program from the book:

I'm supposed to be able to run the program, end it and have data about the amount of characters and digits typed. I start the program and it just lets me type. How can I end the program and get the data?
