Beginner: how to create a macro in VB?

IN WORD 07: I can cut/paste a macro from this or other site: but where EXACTLY do I put it? Pls. tell me step by step (for a really stupid beginner). I created simple macros in 03, but now want to use more complex ones others have created. thank you.
