Belkin wireless network card

By jeremy ·
I am having trouble installing a Belkin f5d7000 wireless network card. It is a 54Mbps card. I installed the software first like it said to, but then after installing the card into a pci slot and powering on, windows didnt recognize it and finish the installation like it said it would. Windows doesnt seem to recognize the card at all. I looked in the device manager and there is nothing for it in the network adapters or other devices groups. What can I do to get this working?

Try another slot.

I have tried 3 different slots, none work. I have however verified that the slots themselves work by trying other cards in them. Somehow the motherboard is not recognizing this card.

How old is your motherboard? We now have a new PCI standard and not all manufacturers are making them reverse compatible. Check your mother board manual to ensure of the PCI standard your board uses, and then check the Belkin website or manual to see which it uses.
