Best AV for WinXP

by dqpublic In reply to Best Antivirus for Public ...

I use BitDefender AV. I've used Norton, McAfee, AVG, and AVAST as well. I think bitdefender is light enough on the updates, able to detect a fullscreen apps, gaming mode, etc. I found it nice for less than $10 per year.

Look around in ebay for the license. Someone selling it for $8 for 1 PC for 1 Year.

As of LAN security, install a firewall if possible, and disable Windows File/Print Sharing if you don't use it. and keep your windows XP patched and updated all the time.

I've never had a virus entered my laptop for years now ... the virus always caught by my AV. well except at one time when AVAST failed me .
