Best ethernet adapter for mac? Thunder-bolt 2.0 or USB 3.0?

So, i own a macbook pro (retina 15-inch late 2013). And i since theres no ethernet port on this model, i was wondering whether i should get a thunderbolt 2.0 ethernet-adapter or a normal usb 3.0 ethernet-adapter?
For optimal speed.
