Best User Request Tracking Software.

By Dental Mgr ·
I just started as the Manager of IS for a small company. On the first day, I received a spreadsheet of outstanding requests. I need a application that will track these and send notifications to users and IS staff as work is done and as projects slipdeadliones. I had built a MS Access solution in my old job but do not have access to that application.

MS Project is not the solution.

Does anyone know of an application that will do this?

Here's what I'm using

I just started as the IT Manager for a small city and got the same thing. They were sending the asst. city manager thier problems/projects and he would schedule them on an Outlook calendar for the consulting group to review and take action. The biggest complaint was people not knowing what was going on. I came across a freeware, ASP based solution at http://www.liberum.org/. Very customizable and very easy to set up. It will e-mail the user when the ticket/project is opened, status changesand closed. There is also a online forum to help with troubleshooting. I'm currently testing it with some of the department heads and plan on rolling it out city-wide in the next week or so. Best thing is that it's free (minus your time).
