Hi y’all! I am gamer/frontend web developer, so when i game i have the games in monitor one and discord/web browser/ twitch stream in 2nd monitor. When im working i use Figma, vscode, web browsers with lots of tabs, Postman and sometimes mongodb. Soooo im trying to pick one of these cpus:

    i5 12600kf (or wait for 13600k) or r7 5700x.

Will i really see the performance difference at multitasking?

The processor is a significant element, but you should always consider the amount of memory (RAM, storage), the graphics card, power supply, just to name a few items, as well as the processor.

Both are nice but you might have to play with settings.

For example I found I had to disable hardware acceleration in Discord and Browsers to get a smooth experience. It wasn’t a processor issue after all!

The Intel Core i5 12400 offers strong single-core performance with a higher clock speed on each of its cores. Moreover, the P/E cores make this CPU efficient in multiple workloads. This chip is highly compatible with PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 memory out of the box.
