I am just starting to learn about MS:Proxy Server 2.0, which I have installed on a dedicated Windows NT 4.0 server.
We also recently ordered Interscan’s Web Manager software.
Probably a silly question, but can anyone out there give me some sage advice about where to start locking down or providing Internet access to our users? It looks to me like Proxy Server has to be on the server no matter what. If you read Microsoft’s documentation, they make it sound like you can enable or disable access by IP address or URL.
When I read WebManager’s documentation, it sounds like Proxy Server is the first step, but that I can use WebManager to allow/disallow by individual or group access to a site or group of sites. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
