BIG POINTS!

By Mike (from Canada) ·
Ok, Lets try this again. I am looking for the game AXIA. and I need an answer that can fit the following criteria:

* The link(s) you specify must not be broken.
* The game is the COMPLETE version.
* The file size is MORE than 2.5MB.
* The gamemust work in Windows or MS-DOS.
* I must not pay a cent for it.
* It is a shoot-em-up style game.
* The company that created it is Dungeon Dwellers Design.

I have done the following which led me nowhere: I emailed everyone responsible for the production of the game, I checked newsgroups and found nothing. I did a search for it and I found ABSOLUTELY nothing.

If you can meet all of the criteria, you get the points. If you can email me the game yourself, you get the points.

I found one site that listed the makers of the game Axia as Wild Card Design. (http://www.electricgames.com/gc/w/gc-wildcard.html) Unfortunately, if you go to the main page www.electricgames.com, you will see the site is about to be re-launched...therefore it isn't working. You could email them at eg@electricgames.com and perhaps they can tell you if they will have a download of the full game. The other site Dungeon Dwellers Design only has the demo for free -- http://www.dddgames.com/axia/axia_demo.html -- but the link to buy the game doesn't work! Neither do links at www.mobygames.com Of possible interest...I found a site of the guy who wrote the music for Axia (http://come.to/jd) Maybe he can send you a file? Another site: http://begamer.com/ had info but no downloads that worked (and mostly the demo. Soooooo, I couldn't find it either, sorry! If you find it, post about it...it looks fun.

I have tried that and got no reply. If I do get the game from them in the future, I will try to contact you so that I can give you the points.

I have zip file from Wild Card Design for Axia, but can't work out if this is a demo ro not (it's not in the readme and I'm not a heavy gamer myself so wouldn't know). File size is LESS that 2.5 MB so I'm guessing this is not what you want. Containsfile "axia.dat" which is a shade over 2MB - if you want me to email this to you anyway, mail me at anon673@hotmail.com.

Hey PHC!

Sorry I cannot hand you the game and collect the 6K points. I do have a few resources you may want to try, though.

First you may want to take a look at some of the Abandonware sites. www.tuol.org is a good place to start. Even ifyou cannot find Axia on one of these sites, many of them have forums where you can try to track it down amongst people who actively collect old games.

Second, you can try searching FTP sites. The two best sites for this are:
http://download.lycos.com/static/advanced_search.asp
http://www.file2k.com

There is also a portal to other FTP search sites:
http://www.ftpsearchengines.com

Good luck!

I did try the FTP sites and I am unable to get it. Axia I dont think is considered abandonware. I think it was created a couple of years ago.

You are simply a waste of everybody's time.

You reject perfectly good answers (to this and other questions), you've rejected over 90% of answers provided, and changing your alias has not fooled many people (DC).

You won't accept any answers to this question. It was never your intention to do so. You'll reject every answer prior to this one as well as every answer that follows.

The only "game" you are really looking for is playing games with the people on this site.
