Have you recently added RAM to the system?

Many BIOSes require that you enter setup, and save settings to 'register' the new RAM with the BIOS.

How old is the PC / does the PC spend a lot of time with NO power to the power supply?

If the PCis old, or is turned off regularly with a switched outlet, your CMOS back-up battery may be getting weak.

The battery is often a CR-2032 lithium coin cell.
You can buy a new battery for under $3 (US).

As suggested above, enter your BIOS, check the settings and 'save' this should fix the problem unless it is a dud battery, they are easy to replace.
