Recently I upgraded my computers CPU from:
AMD Athlon 800mhz to 1.4 ghz. Upon attempting to boot I get a 5 second bios beep, after which the computer automatically shuts down.
The following is my system configuration:
M Abit KT7A-Raid
CPU AMD 1.4ghz
Video AGP 4x ATI Rage 128 bit 32 mb
Harddrive 2 IBM Deskstars 40 gig on raid
Floppy LS 120 Imation
CD-Rom LG 12x8x32
Memory 256 MB PC 133 SDRAM
I flashed the bios after the upgrade.The system workedfine before with the same configuration. However, even after reseating the originalprocessor I experience the same problem.
I appreciate any suggestion on how to restore my system.
