I am working on a Dell inspiron 1100 with Phoenix Bios. The F2 key does not allow me to enter bios. I have also tried using ctrl+alt+inset , ctrl+alt+esc , ctrl+alt+shift , Fn+esc , and all the Function keys.
The primary issue with the computer is that it is missing a windows XP configuration boot file. The machine displays the Phoenix splash screen then goes to windows boot menu(no post screen). It does not boot in any mode.
I would like to repair the boot partition, but I am unable to get into bios because the machine does not respond to any key sequence or combination that I have tried. Is there perhaps a way to physcially flash the bios?
Or any other suggestion?
