Bios Problem

Some day last month my time and bios settings went back to default settings , so i got a new battery, didnt work, got a a new bios update, didnt work.

Can anyone know a different solution or method.
Its a packard bell 2711

Well, that's pretty much it.

As long as the battery is properly connected, and no wires or solder connections are broken or corroded, then the fix would be to swap the motherboard, which obviously would not be cost effective.

It is entirely possible that the replacement battery is defective.

It would be best to measure the voltage of the CMOS battery with a digital multimeter to make sure before digging deeper.

Did you then set the time and change other BIOS settings as appropriate? You didn't say.
